MPLS – New Face of Technology
MPLS technology was developed keeping in mind the drawbacks of the existing technologies like ATM. These technologies required a lot of over heads in terms of band-width. MPLS has reduced the need of high bandwidth while providing connection-oriented services for variable-length frames. With these advantages MPLS will completely replace older technologies sooner than we think.
